Panagiotis Korakas is a historian and Head of the Historical Archive for the acclaimed andaward-winning Greek shipping publication Naftika Chronika, a magazine first published in1931. He is a member of the Isalos.net initiative. Mr Korakas holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in History from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Since 2021, he has been the editor of a series of yearly historical editions of Naftika Chronikaand has written over 100 articles (printed and online) regarding Greek and international maritime history.

As part of the Naftika Chronika and Isalos.net teams, Mr Korakas has organised andcoordinated a multitude of events concerning not only the shipping industry but also theyounger generation interested in following a career in maritime.
