Nikolaos Triantafyllakis is a seasoned maritime professional with an extensive background in ship management and maritime operations. Nikolaos holds a BSc in Business Studies from the University of Buckingham and an MSc in Shipping, Trade & Finance from City University Business School. Proficient in Greek, English, and French, he brings a multilingual dimension to his professional endeavors.
Since the inception of W MARINE INC in 2003, Nikolaos has served as the Chief Executive Officer, playing a pivotal role in establishing the company as a fully integrated Ship Management entity based in Athens, Greece. W MARINE INC specializes in offering comprehensive ship management services and currently oversees a fleet of 17 dry bulk carrier vessels, ranging from Panamax to Post Panamax.
Prior to his role at W MARINE INC, Nikolaos held a key position at A M Nomikos Transworld Maritime Agencies S.A. from 1997 to 2002, where he served in the Operations Department. During this period, he gained valuable insights into the operational intricacies of the maritime industry.
In the early 1990s, Nikolaos was actively involved in the privatization of Elefsis Shipyards in Greece. He served as a Liaison Officer between the Board of Directors and the Shareholders, contributing to the transformation and restructuring of the shipyard.
Before his tenure in Greece, Nikolaos worked in London with Pegasus Shipping Services from 1990 to 1992. In this capacity, he acted as a Consultant, focusing on the development of an Initial Public Offering (IPO) for the crude oil tanker operator.
With a career spanning several decades, Nikolaos Triantafyllakis has demonstrated leadership, expertise, and a commitment to the maritime industry, particularly in the fields of ship management, operations, and strategic development.
