He is a graduate of MIT with an M.Sc., in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering and one in Shipping and Shipbuilding Management.

As a member of P & P Marine Consultants since 1977 he has been and is advising many Greek and Foreign based shipping firms in their Newbuilding and repair projects with specialisation in marine accidents as well in their choices of energy efficiency. He acts as external auditor for owners and private equity funds to assess the assets (ships and crew) condition.

He presented in 2012, 2013 and 2014, 2016 and 2018 in Shanghai Finance on Shipbuilding Contracts and alternative means of propulsion in shipping.
He is a presenter in maritime fora, in a number of subjects related to ship efficiency.
He is a member of SNAME (Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers). He is the Secretary/Treasurer of SNAME (Greek Section) and its Chairman of the Fundraising and Scholarships committee.
In SNAME Global, He holds the Chair of the Panel M-48 “Atomic Power in Commercial Ships”
Member of The Propeller Club of Piraeus,
Member of The Piraeus Association for Maritime Arbitration and of the
MIT Alumni Club of Greece.
He is one of the founders and a member of the board of MIT Enterprise Forum in Greece now rebranded START SMART member of MIT and JWEL
He is also a member of AHEPA.
