Costas Kontes is a 3rd party management expert with more than 24 years of experience on this sector.

He served as a Managing Director of the Med Cluster for V Group since 2016 while he previously worked since 2008 as Business Development Director for the same Group. Under his direct command both offices of Greece and Cyprus have been successfully operating a fleet of over 150 vessels of all types under full technical management.

Previously he served the Cruise / Leisure sector, working for Iberojet Cruceros. Being responsible for the Marine and Technical operations, Costas has set up the technical and operations in Madrid for the company later on to expand from 1 to 4 owned ships.

He has a BSc, MSc in Marine Engineering from Newcastle University Upon Tyne and an MSc in Shipping, Trade and Finance from City University Business School. He is currently holding the title of the Chartered Engineer from the British Engineering Council.

Costas has served 8 years at The International Propeller Club Port of Piraeus as a governor out of which 2 years served as Secretary General and 4 years Vice President of the Club.
