Peter Sheppard brings more than 25 years of dynamic leadership across technology and engineering, driving transformative initiatives in energy, transportation, telecoms, finance and IT. As Head of Technical & Policy at IMarEST, he leads the institute’s technical vision and strategic engagement.

Previously, as VP of Strategy and Planning at Lloyd’s Register, Peter directed the Energy division’s remarkable growth, expanding its revenue from ~£85 million to £450 million per annum. With a Cambridge MA in Electrical Sciences and Engineering, a Cranfield MBA, and Chartered Engineer credentials, his expertise encompasses strategy development, project delivery, and change management.

In his role as Principal Consultant at PwC, Peter advised global leaders such as BT, Cable Wireless and Vodafone, delivering impactful solutions across complex, multinational environments.

Peter’s unique blend of technical depth, strategic foresight, and broad industry experience positions him as a thought leader, shaping innovative approaches to industry challenges and future opportunities.
