Mike (Michael John) Esplago is a maritime industry executive with expertise spanning seafaring, education, governance, and technology. He began his career at sea after earning a B.Sc. in Marine Transportation, later serving as Maritime Education & Training Standards Supervisor at the Philippine Maritime Industry Authority before transitioning to education technology startups and executive leadership. Mike currently serves as Vice President of the World Institute of Maritime Advanced Studies (WIMAS), is a Trustee of the International Seafarers’ Welfare & Assistance Network (ISWAN), and holds honorary consultative roles across various maritime organizations.
