Makram’s background comes with over 18 years in the world of Advertising and Marketing, with years spent strategizing brands’ connections with their customers in various industries including Automotive, FMCG and Luxury Watches, in the United Arab Emirates.

Being the grandson of a Russian sea Captain, the sea and shipping in particular have long-tickled his veins until late 2020, when he finally regained his home-growing country, Greece and joined the Crossworld Group whereby he is deriving gains from his multi-cultural background, coupled with his acquired customer-centric style, to help the group’s effort to reshape and upgrade its services towards shipping’s next day.

Having completed an all-rounded training in shipping with the Institute of Chartered Shipbroakers in Piraeus in 2020-2021, his main practical occupation since his arrival in 2020 has been centered around Crossworld Marine Services, the group’s Marine HR arm, focusing on one of Shipping’s most critical elements: The crew.
