Korinna Tapaktsoglou holds the title of Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director of Pioneer Marine since 2017. She joined the Company in 2014 under the position of VP of Finance and Accounts.

She has more than 20 years of experience in the shipping industry and 25 years of experience in the areas of Finance, Audit, Financial Reporting and Management Accounting. Prior to joining Pioneer Marine, she was Head of Internal Audit and Compliance in a NYSE listed dry bulk company and Audit Manager in PwC.

In 2021, following the successful management buy-out of Pioneer Marine, she obtained significant ownership interest in Pioneer Marine Group of Companies.

She holds an Honors bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Macedonia, she is a fellow member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (“ACCA”) and she has also successfully completed the Postgraduate Leadership Diploma (MIT Sloan Executive Education & Columbia Business School Executive Education).
