Hugues currently holds the position of Senior Vice President and Head of the DNB Athens Representative Office, focusing on providing financing and advisory services to the Bank’s Greek Shipping clients.  He has close to 20 years’ experience in banking and ship finance.

Prior to joining DNB Bank (London) in 2007, Hugues was part of Societe Generale’s shipping team in Paris and London. With DNB, Hugues has structured and led a number of high-profile transactions for leading European maritime conglomerates across a wide variety of financial products including syndicated commercial loans, export credit financings, sale and leasebacks, private placements, bonds and equity offerings. Hugues spent two years (2011-12) in New York managing a portfolio of distressed shipping loans and between 2016 and 2019, Hugues was Global Head of DNB Bank’s ports and terminal division managing a portfolio of maritime infrastructure clients across the globe.
