GianLuigi Mandruzzato is Senior Economist and Strategist at EFG Bank in Lugano.

Before joining EFG, he worked as Multi-Asset Strategist and Economist and in BSI Bank in Lugano and in Banca Intesa and Banca Commerciale Italiana in Milan.

He holds a Master’s degree with honours in Economics from the School of Economic Studies at the University of Manchester and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with 110 cum laude from the University of Trieste.

His main areas of interest are the global business and monetary policy cycles, with a focus on the euro area and Swiss economies and foreign exchange and commodity markets.
