Chartered Engineer and Economist (1990), MSc (Op. Management & Research), MBA (Lancaster, 1994, Highest Distinction), Charted Mechanical & Electrical Engineer, Chartered Economist, MCIM.
He has worked as an Advisor to 2 Ministers and 2 Dep. Ministers of Development and Investments in the areas of Research / Technology / Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
In his last capacity he has a key role in the design and development of the national startup registry “Elevate Greece” (EG) and the relevant state-aid call, the PPP call for CHROPEI “Innovation District”, calls for Technology Transfer Offices, Innovation Clusters, Competence Centers, submission and follow up of the RRF Projects for RTDI, a pivotal role in the spin-off new legislative framework and strong involvement in Science Diplomacy.
National delegate in Horizon Europe EIC/EIE.α
Prior to his current role, he worked for 12 years as a State Official in the design and monitoring of EU co-funded calls for Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship for OPs 2007-2013 and 2014-2020 (www.antagonistikotita.gr).
Prior to that, and for 17 years, he worked in senior positions in Marketing Communications and Consulting roles, starting career from Engineering positions.
Evaluator of Business Plans for state aid grants, an experienced management instructor to senior executives in Business Planning and Development, Mentor of startups and spin-offs and a judge in various entrepreneurship competitions.
