Mr Frangistas graduated from Law School of the University of Thessaloniki and from University College London with a Post Graduate Diploma in Shipping Law and a Master in Law (L.L.M.). From 1975 to 1978 Mr Frangistas worked at Franco Shipping Ltd. in London. In 1979 he became a Director of Franco Compania Naviera S.A. in Athens, and in 1982 became Chief Executive Officer of Franco Compania Naviera S.A.
