Mr Vassilios Terzis was born in Athens in 1955.

In 1976 he graduated from Merchant Marine Academy of Hydra (Greece), 2nd in his class. Since then, he has served as 2nd Officer aboard commercial vessels (1976-1978) and Captain of the Hellenic Navy (1978-1981). He then resumed his career as Officer aboard commercial vessels, also pursuing private business projects and trading. Between 1986-1990 he served as Port Captain of a maritime company.

In 1990 he founded QUEENSWAY Group of Companies, with offices in Athens and Batumi (Georgia), of which he still serves as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Mr Terzis is the Senior Vice President of the Hellenic Shortsea Shipowners Association (HSSA) since 2005, member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Chamber of Shipping (HCS), member of Union of Greek Shipowners (UGS), International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA) and Malta International Shipowners Association (MISA).

He is married and has two sons.
