Marc joined the Macquarie Group in London in 1999 and is Head of the Zurich Office, which he established in 2005. In addition to his regional role, Marc is also Head of Shipping Finance comprising a team of 14 executives based in Zurich and London. Over the past 20 years Marc has had senior roles in transactions that span advisory, equity raising and debt financing, with a particular focus on Asset Finance.

Marc’s team houses specialist asset finance professionals and shipping industry experts, focused on providing innovative and tailored solutions to ship owners in the tanker, bulker and container segments. Since the platform was launched 4 years ago, Macquarie has financed more than 150 ships globally with market values in excess of US$ 2 billion.

Prior to joining Macquarie Marc was a financing specialist in the Corporate Finance and Treasury area at Swisscom involved in developing the company’s IPO strategy and establishing the company’s corporate treasury division.
