Christian Speer has been active in banking for 29 years holding several key positions at well-established financial institutions.

Among his scope of activities he was part of the senior relationship management at OLB AG (today owned by Apollo) where he structured a syndicate of joint lenders for one of the early projects in renewable energy in the segment of wind farming. In 1999, he took over a key position at Commerzbank AG for international trade finance and continued to arrange merger & acquisition within the e-mobility.

Through project financing Christian entered the maritime industry in 2004 by taking over the position as Head for the Greek and Asian Shipping activities of Berenberg as well as the Americas. During this time, Christian built up a substantial portfolio of relationships with top tier clients and developed projects in the offshore, dry-bulk and general cargo business. He has a Master in Finance from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, is married and father of two children.
