H.E. Ms. Julie Lymberopulos was appointed Ambassador and General Consul of Panama in Greece by the President of the Republic of Panama, H.E. Laurentino Cortizo Cohen, on August 2019. On December 23, 2019, she assumed her duties as Head of Mission and on February 06, 2020 she presented her credentials to the President of the Hellenic Republic, H.E. Prokopis Pavlopoulos.
Ms. Julie Lymberopulos was born in 1963 in Panama City, Panama from Greek origin with roots from Messinia, Peloponnese. She holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations from the National University of Panama, a diploma in International Maritime Conventions from the International Maritime University of Panama (UMIP) and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Smith College, Northampton, Massachusetts, USA. Since 2005 to 2019, she attended several Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources and Professional Development Seminars and Conferences in USA and Panama.
Prior to her posting in Greece, Ambassador Julie Lymberopulos was involved in the Greek Diplomatic life for 22 years and the past 10 years was Chief Financial Manager and Administrator of various corporations under the Lymber Group, an established family business over 65 years in Panama with offices in Panama, Ecuador, USA and Spain.
Ambassador Julie Lymberopulos speaks Spanish, Greek and English fluently as well as basic French. She is the mother of two daughters, Margarita and Dimitra, who live and work abroad.
