Yiorgos is a Senior Finance Consultant at ICONIC PFA. He has been structuring Project Finance instruments over the last decade aiming at attracting institutional and private capital across the EU/MENA/GCC regions coupled with extensive Wall Street IPOs. Yiorgos provides objective solutions for accessing capital through an IPO, spin off or debt offering for greater long-term strength and speed-to-market.
As a deeply transformed CFO into Investment Officer capitalizing on his mantra “Things Can Happen”, he has equally been involved in the development of finance instruments on both sides (Ship owners and Investor/Financier) along with Transaction Advisory Services, Private Equity and M&A with a combined value of USD 70bn.
His specialism covers all asset categories in conjunction with their related instruments (bonds, loans, hybrid, listed/unlisted) and the respective market vehicles. Together with the risk sharing mechanisms and control arrangements, Yiorgos thrives in coupling investment banking requirements with project sponsors expectations, long-term profitability and spreadsheet modeling under a common commercial and legal/contractual hood. Over the course of his career track he has developed a sound network with key stakeholders including institutional investors, Policy Makers, Private Sector, Industries, Global Financial Institutions, Private Investors, DFIs, Export Credit Agencies and Multilateral Agencies.
Yiorgos has origins from a naval family that led him on receiving grammar education from the Ionidios Model School of Piraeus.
He is a Chartered European Engineer (EUR-ING) and holds a MSc. degree in Engineering Economic Systems from the National Technical University of Athens.
