Mr. Gyftakis has served as Chief Financial Officer of Seanergy Maritime (Nasdaq: SHIP) since 2018 and has been instrumental in Seanergy’s capital raising, debt financing and refinancing activities since 2017. Mr. Gyftakis has served as a Director and Chief Financial Officer of United Maritime (Nasdaq: USEA) since 2022. He has more than 16 years of experience in banking and corporate finance with focus on the shipping sector. Mr. Gyftakis has held key positions across a broad shipping finance spectrum, including, asset backed lending, debt and corporate restructurings, risk management, financial leasing, and loan syndications. Before joining Seanergy, he was a Senior VP in the Greek shipping finance desk at DVB Bank SE. Mr. Gyftakis received his MSc in Shipping, Trade and Finance from City’s Business School (formerly known as Cass Business School) in London with Distinction and holds also a MSc in Business Mathematics, awarded with Honors, from the Athens University of Economics and Business and a BSc in Mathematics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
