Martin Hugger is managing director of Meerbaum Capital Solutions Inc. Meerbaum was established 2016 and has since been advising an entity, that provides financing to small and medium sized shipping companies and has access to capital from institutional investors.

Previously, Martin has focussed on distressed opportunities in shipping for Greek and US investors. Prior he has been Head of Greek shipping at Commerzbank, overseeing of the merger of the Greek shipping portfolios of Deutsche Schiffsbank, Commerzbank and Dresdner Bank, combined at that time one of the largest lending portfolios in Greek shipping. Martin has also worked at a large Athens based shipping group as banking executive and taught at the MBA and MSc in Finance and Investment courses at a UK business school.

He holds an MBA degree of Warwick Business School and the German degree Diplom-Kaufmann.
