Danae Bezantakou holds the positions of CEO of Navigator Shipping Consultants and shareholder of KEFI S.A. (www.kefitours.gr) and MATILDA HOTEL (www.matildahotel.gr), all belonging to her family’s Group of Companies.
One of her biggest accomplishments is the organization of “NAVIGATOR – the Shipping Decision Makers’ Forum https://navigatorltd.gr/forums/, which now constitutes one of the most renowned events in the Greek shipping community. The Forum has been held on an annual basis since 2001, aiming at enhancing the synergies among the stakeholders of the Greek and International Maritime Clusters.
She is also the Concept Founder of Young Executives Shipping (YES) FORUM – the platform of open dialogue between Principals and Executives holding managerial positions in the Ship Owning Companies and Companies generally involved in shipping on one side, and the young executives, university graduates and university students in the Shipping and Sea Tourism sectors on the other.
This open dialogue has led to the establishment of a big network and the creation of business relationships amongst the companies and the young executives – graduates. It also helps the well experienced managers to “pass” their knowledge gained through their working years to the younger executives and bridge this gap of knowledge.
Danae serves as Secretary General of International Propeller Club, Port of Piraeus and President of iforU-Greek Mentoring Network, which empowers women’s entrepreneurship through mentoring & networking. She was also appointed as European Young Leader in 2013 and as Young Global Leader at World Economic Forum in 2015.
Danae has represented Greece twice in International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) of State Dpt. in 2011 and in 2017. She is founding member and was the 1st President of the Hellenic U.S. Alumni Association of State Department Programs. Her dedication to the growth of Entrepreneurship made her to be named as a Role Model in the campaign #Makingithappen organized by the U.S. Embassy to Greece.
She regularly participates as a speaker, judge or mentor in startup competitions, Fora, school & university lectures and events related to entrepreneurship.
She is one of those people who tries to be creative, apart from productive in her everyday life and find the passion in everything she deals with…
