Mrs. Maria (Marily) Frangista professional activity began in 1979 when she joined the sales department of COPAIS CANNING INDUSTRY, a company involved in the production and trading of agricultural products, based in Greece and at that time belonging to the Franco Group.<\/p>\n
She moved on to join the London based office of ship owning and management company FRANCO SHIPPING LONDON before moving to Athens to work for FRANCO COMPANIA NAVIERA S.A., a ship management company established in Greece. She has been the Managing Director of FRANCO COMPANIA NAVIERA S.A. since 1995.<\/p>\n
Since 2000, she has held non-executive positions on the Board of Directors of various institutional organizations in the Maritime Industry.<\/p>\n
From November 2010 until June 2014 she served as an independent non-executive member of the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Greece. <\/p>\n
Since 2004, she has been a member of the Board of Directors of the MALTA INTERNATIONAL SHIPOWNERS ASSOCIATION (MISA) and presently serves as a Treasurer\/ Secretary.<\/p>\n
Since September 2012, she has been a member of the Board of Directors of Endeavor Greece.<\/p>\n
She holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from the \u201cAmerican College of Greece \u2013 Deree\u201d.<\/p>\n
She has native fluency in English and French as well as an intermediate knowledge of German.
