Ms Mantzaris began her career in 1992 at European Navigation Inc – Owned by Cpt. Spyros Karnessis (a shipping owning company with a fleet of 15 tankers and 12 dry cargo vessels). She worked as an Assistant Operator within company’s Operation dpt for Bulkcarriers and Tankers. She held the head position of the Post fixture & Freight collection dpt of all vessels.
In 1996 she joined GA Shipping Inc – Owned by Cpt. Makis Agoudimos (a shipowning company with a fleet of 3 bulkcarriers and 8 Ro/Ro passenger vessels). She worked as Operation Manager of the 3 bulkcarrier and Insurance Manager for the whole fleet.
In 1998 she joined Entrust Maritime – Owned by Elias Tsakos (shipowning company of 5 bulkcarriers and 2 tankers) as Operations & Insurance Manager and Chartering. – The Entrust Maritime is affiliated company of Tsakos Shipping & Trading Co.- Owned by Cpt. Panayotis Tsakos.
In 2002 she then was appointed as General Manager of Fairport Shipping Ltd- Owned by George Kallimassias (fleet of 11 reefers & 2 Bulkcarriers).
After obtaining vast experience within shipping companies, Ms Mantzaris in 2004 decided to undertake the position of the Managing Director of the Insurance Broking firm Heath Lambert Group Ltd in Piraeus Branch office.
In July 2005 Ms Mantzaris established her own shipping company namely A.S. Marine Ltd activating as Marine Insurance Brokers and Marine Consultants within the Greek Market holding the official representation in Greece of Arthur J Gallagher Insurance Brokers, one of the top ten largest insurance broking firms in the world handling all types of insurances and risk management solutions.
Ms Stella Mantzaris has a total sea experience of 7 months in Bulk carrier vessels.
During these years, she has had the opportunity to work in key positions within large shipping companies from where she obtained valuable practical experience in ship management, operation/chartering and marine insurance.
Ms Mantzaris holds a Bachelor and Post Graduate Diploma in Maritime Studies from the University of Wales. As well as an Advance Diploma for Business Administration – Economics from the Association of Business Executives of London and an Advance Diploma in Shipping from the Institute of Commerce in London. She is certified as Ship Operator by the Lloyd’s Register of Shipping, and she is certified by DNV as an Internal Auditor for ISM Code Implementation and she is also certified by DNV on Modern Safety Management (Veritas Qualification Scheme for Class).
Ms Mantzaris is also an Associate Member of Business Executives London, Associate Member of Institute of Commerce, member of Piraeus Marine Club.
